When I use headphones the volume from my computer is very low. It is hard to hear it. I have tried turning the volume up in all of the programs that have sound as well as turning up windows sound. is their an app to boost the sound level?

Which sound solution are you using?
What headphones?
Ever tried a cheap headphone amp?

In the worst case you may be able to enable "loudness" under "advanced" in the windows volume controller, which could help.

I'd recommend updating your sound card or Codec driver as well.

I got it at frys. Its got a 3ft input cord, 3 outputs.

I use it to boost audio from my small radios for recording.

my 2 cents
