I can't get my new gigabyte board to boot.

It has all the latest features from removable chipsets to wireless ddr2 slots.

I keep trying to get it to boot up...but it refuses...any ideas?

You should hook up the pc speaker to see if you get any beeps. It sucks they are selling all the new boards without the speaker.

I installed some peripheral cpus... any better???

I do not know if that board supports 41 channel memory. 8x4 channels + 3x3 channels.

Patriot, I like where you are going with this. You just need some LGA2011 Xeons to round it out. G34's and 2011's, sounds like a winner no?

You're doing just fine.

I have no idea why it won't boot.

Are you sure it's plugged in?

Try spreading the thermal paste more evenly then reseat the CPU fan. You probably weren't getting good contact and the CPU was overheating.

thermal paste.... is that like the toothpaste I have on there?
I see some people have a metal thingy between the cpu fan and cpu...do you recommend that too?

I know what the problem is, Dummy the bottom legs of the board are longer than the top legs, anybody can see that, turn the damn thing around then it will work. Sheesh noobs.
