This is a build for a TV Studio Controlroom. It is a dedicated machine to run this high definition scope hardware/software. The system requirements page is out of date so I have sent my componenet list to them to look over.

Looking at the PCIe version (NOT Pocket Ultra Scope)
http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/ultrascope/

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Ultra Scope

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included? Not limited, but don't want total overkill. Would like to leave enough headroom in the box for a little bit of future proofing.

3) Where do you live? Seattle

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
CPU, RAM, Mobo, DVD, HD, Case, PS, GPU

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
None

6) Will you be overclocking?
Unlikely

7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?
19x10 (or 19x12)

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Now

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? etc.
Nothing Special

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? 32bit or 64bit?
Yes, either W7x64 or Vista x64

Please note that this list includeds a case that I don't want to use. I like the antec take 3 + 650 and plan to get that instead.

Get that mobo and CPU from this combo link to save $25:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.492250

Ditch that WD 640GB Blue drive: It's outperformed by these two drives:
$55 - Western Digital WD5000AAKS 500GB 7200RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
$75 - Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

The HD 4870 1GB is well priced at $135 shipped:

So that's a good alternative since that's on the official support list for Ultra Scope.
