Interesting since that is the list both gottadeal and bfdeals has.

I'm well aware but that's still not where I got it. No need to try and prove me wrong all I did was find the list and post it for everyone.

PS- lots of places have that very same list.

I've considered doing a BF thing, but for the most part it's just not worth it. Personally I'd rather pay a little more than stand in line with a bunch of strange people and then deal with all those said people once they turn into depraved fucking assholes after the doors open. Thanks, but no. :p

just wondering if xbox 360 or its game will be on sale at all if you guys have any ideas? cause it comes out like 3 or 5 days before

hehehehe just drove up to brandon (45 minutes away, 15 minutes from tampa) and me and a friend bought $300 worth of BB bucks from mcdonald's for $150....do you guys think we got a pretty good deal?

i asked one of the customer service representatives if they'd be valid on black friday, and she said she wasn't sure but didn't see any reason why they wouldn't. she also gave me the list, and it didn't appear to have any black out dates on it.

Best Buy Bucks are valid for one-time use only and must be used only during normal hours of operation in Best Buy stores located in the U.S. between 10/4/05 and 12/3/05 OR at BestBuy.com between 12:00:01 a.m. (CT) 10/4/05 and 11:59:59 p.m. (CT) 12/3/05. Best Buy Bucks may be combined and the cumulative total will be subtracted from total purchase amount of merchandise before the calculation of sales and

grabbed that from the rules about best buy bucks... also says you can only use 300 per day and can only get 3 of any single dvd or cd.
In other words, you can't use these before normal business hours on black friday... could always hold the item and walk around the store until normal business hours though :-D

while this is true, i highly doubt they'd really stick to that. i imagine on this single day they wouldn't want customers just standing around due to all the carnivorous soccer moms.

I really really doubt there will be any 360's left by black friday, really.

At least with best buy, going less than 2 or 3 hours before opening is worthless for big ticket items. My friends and I usually go after thanksgiving dinner, around 12:30 or so, bring cards, chairs, blankets, and whatever other stuff we can think of to keep entertained. Also, don't forget Best Buy opens early that day. Last year we got out of there by 9:30 i think, because we had to wait in a separate line to pay for the emachines. I have to say also, that it was worth it to be at the front, because if we weren't I wouldnt have got my tv, 9600xt, and 4 HD's and probably other stuff I can't even remember now.

Also, if you hate rebates, stay home, because everything is rebates. What we do is come home from bf, sleep a bit, and then have a rebate form filling/mailing party. And put all of them in a spreadsheet, because you have to chase after some of them. I only got my free paper and stuff from hp like 2 months ago.

Lastly, I have to say screw those deal listing sites, at least for best buy, because last year, the sale items were completely different than what was on those sites. I think the sears deals and CC deals were correct. Those were the only stores we bought anything from anyways.

yeah. i asked my co-worker in the software department at the concord fry's, he said the store only ordered 30 of them... umm..wtf? those'll be gone in 15 minutes... and even if you find a 360, i highly doubt they'll put it on sale already... i always see new items like i see opening films. they'll be there a week or two later when the mobs have died down, plus there;s always the chance the prices have dropped a tad by then. like we need to beat the smiths next door so quickly :p

i don't see any reason microsoft, or any other retailer for that matter, would feel the need to reduce the price on the xbox 360, which without a doubt will sell like hotcakes.

is that legal? how can that be done? do you know someone who works at mcdonalds and is reselling them and pocketing the cash themselves?

just curious

Last year for Black Friday, I realized that there wasn't really anything that I wanted, but I have been going for 7 years or so and decided I should go anyway, and make a big deal out of it. So me and a few friends got in the Best Buy line at 11:30 or so, with a table, chairs, poker chips, a frisbee, hot chocolate, and a boombox. Having music was by far the best decision of the night, but unfortunately, the below freezing weather killed the dry cell batteries in about an hour. A guy in front of us in line saw our peril, and let us borrow a battery-powered jumpstarter hooked up to an inverter that we plugged the boombox into and had music all night long.

I don't want to count on that guy being there again this year, so I need to come up with my own solution, but I would like to keep the price under $60 or so, if possible. Do you guys have any ideas?

When he goes to use them and they're all sequential. Meaning they came all from one place and one person using them. They'll track it back to the store that had those serial # BB bucks and do an audit/investigation to see who was responsible.

Ok, I don't know that they'll do that. I'm just guessing at a possible security scenario.

But that would be the smart thing to do. B/c normally coupons, etc... like that are given out to different people over a period of time so even if 1 person comes in with a lot, the numbers should be much different. And they often track which lot#'s etc.. were shipped where, etc.

The HP Pavilion ze2308wm laptop for $398 at walmart is likely to have at least a Sempron 2800+ as it's in the ZE2000 family.

Just a heads up on something to keep an eye out for...

I guess I'm just not sure how BB bucks works (have boycotted mcdonalds for a year now). I was under the impression that you can only get BB bucks if you win from the monopoly game.

It seems to me that someone (whoever is selling it) is embezzling from mcdonalds then, right?

Office Depot was nice on BF last year. Showed up around 10 AM and got lots of free (AR) items and a 200Gb HDD for $50 AR. 64Mb SD card (adequate last resort for my camera, 64Mb thumb drive, 100 CD cases, 200 CD/R etc. No lines either. :)

pentup...you could just use the inverter and hook it up to ur car...and leave ur car running a little bit to pump the battery in case it starts to go

All I know is last year, I got my one item it being a Belkin 802.11g wireless router. I was looking for the item in OfficeMax, after I did, a sales person had a carry around creditcard and receipt printer with him processed my creditcard then I left the store.

I would have to see more places ads show up on the Black friday website before I decide where to go on black friday.

you get bestbuy bucks with every large fry or boxed sandwich. Some are only for $1, some are $3, and some are $10 i believe. Got quite a few due to my generous co-workers ;)

All I want for BF is a cheap 6800/X850 AGP videocard to hold me over for another year (waiting on M2 or Conroe, whatever is better).

1 and 3 only

I worked at McDonalds for a while and remember the Best Buy bucks. They would also be on the chicken strips. Whenever a box "fell", the BB Bucks came off. They weren't usually sequential because we didn't take them from every box. I know a friend had about $60 worth of BB Bucks and actually bought a deck for his car with them. He had to argue with BB who said there was no way it was legal but they couldn't prove anything and had to take them.

I slept in last year on accident so figured I missed out on all the deals I planned on getting. I decided to head out around 1 and walked in and walked out with my goodies. No lines, no craziness, no cold. Got lucky I guess.

i "slept in" too....but still managed to arrive there around 5:30. i got what i wanted, and was out of there in like an hour.

past few shipments of the BB ads to our store have come with a warning about the BF ad leaking early. I'm scared of what might happen to the person responsible for leaking it

doesn't work too well with Best Buy's "open - noon" sale :p

I'm thinking of doing BF just to keep the streak going. I've done it for 3 years now and counting. I never did it before that. The only thing I really need is a TV tuner card (preferably Hauppauge). But maybe I'll find other goodies that I can buy and give for X-mas.

Do Black Friday Deals usually extend to online retailers? I am looking for a new system upgrade (mobo + CPU) and im wondering if these usually are included in the Black Friday sales. Otherwise i dont really have much reason to wait.

In my experience BF is used more for B&M stores.

I know a few do, (newegg, outpost, etc) but its nothing special, just like a normal sale. If you want the good stuff, you have to go in person.

Best Buy sells the Gateway FPD2185W for like $600 now, does anyone think it would go below that on Black Friday?
