Black Friday expectations ?

Also hoping to see some $10 Malwarebytes licenses. Too bad they don't do lifetime anymore but $10/year is still a good deal for their product.

I want a Razer orbweaver, love the nostromo but mine is 3 years old. I am also looking at buying the best buy Wii U bundle for my little sisters. It comes with every game I would buy except for Mario cart.

I am highly disappointed at the early Black Friday deals. I mean today I got an email from NewEgg about the 1TB Samsung 850 Pro for $699 + an extra 10% off with promo code. Amazon had this drive for $599 for at least a few weeks near the end of October (although now it is back to $649 at amazon).

Anyone think its worth waiting until black Friday to order water cooling parts? Performance PCS has an 8% off deal right now that would save me probably about $50, but the deal only goes until Nov 27th. So the big question is should I just wait 1 week or use the 8% discount now.

I am still waiting on my Caselabs S5 to come in, so I cannot even build the system until probably end of next week at the earliest. Originally I was going to get the list of WC parts together on FrozenCPU and Performance PCS and order on BF and hope some of the items are on sale.

Looking for deals on a 512gb Samsung SSD 840/850 to upgrade from a 256gb I bought last Christmas, 128gb Sandisk MicroSD for my Lumia 1520, and 3 27" 4k 60hz+ monitors. Hadn't seen deals on any of those yet.

Riots at Walmart over 200.00 Class 50" TVs =)

Thank god I'm working my regular hours that day =) I was on 2nd shift but switched to 3rd due to BS Managers.

Does Steam have a Black Friday Sale?

2 year out of date overstocks.
Weeeeeeee
99% crap
I am sure there are a few door busters with 3 in stock
Go sit in the rain, sleet and snow for a week to get that great deal.
OR get a job and make enough to buy the latest and greatest.

I always fine good bf/monday etc deals, but you have to look hard.

What I'm hoping for/expecting:

AMD Side:
290x @ $249
290 @ $200
280x/285 @ $150
280 @ $130
270x @ $99

Nvidia Side:
780Ti @ $275
780 @ $250
770 @ $180
760 @ $150
750Ti @ $99
750 @ $79

Nexus 7 FHD 2013 for $150'ish....
Name brand 480/500/512G ssd @ $150
Name brand 240/250/256G ssd @ $69
4790k @ $199 (4770k was $199 last year), but will probably end up at $229-$249 probably MC

The two deals I distinctly remember from last year was upgrading from a 7800GT -> 670 GTX Directcu mini for $225 - $25 rebate and my 4770k bundle w/ board for about $270 OTD. That included local 10% sales tax at the time. I think it was $199 for the cpu & $40-$50 for the MSI board.

Both were great deals.

So just checking back in with my predictions:
290x: Predicted $249.99, Thanksgiving: $279.99
290: Predicted $200, Thanksgiving $200
280x: Predicted $150, Thanksgiving $195
285: Predicted $150, Thanksgiving $180
280: Precited $130, Thanksgiving $130
270x: Predicted $99, Thanksgiving $135
270: Prediction: None, Thanksgiving $99

Nvidia (I'm going to take a beating here)
780 Ti: Predicted: $275, Thanksgiving $410
780: Predicted: $250, Thanksgiving $320
770: Predicted: $180, Thanksgiving $250
760: Predicted: $150, Thanksgiving $170
750Ti: Predicted $99, Thanksgiving $100
750: Predicted: $79, Thanksgiving $80

Nexus 7 2013 Predicted $150, Thanksgiving $180
480/500/512G ssd: Predicted $150, Thanksgiving $150 (Frys)
240/250/256G ssd: Predicted $69, Thanksgiving $75
4790k @ $199 (4770k was $199 last year), but will probably end up at $229-$249 probably MC, Thanksgiving $249
I've got one more day to be right on a lot of the ones that ended up too high.

Can someone tell me where the value proposition is with nvidia 770+ when you can have a choice of 4 or 5 290's at sub $250 and a choice of a 970 at just over $300 ?

BF has become all smoke and no fire. There is tons of marketing but very few actual deals on decent products.

I have picked up five Net10 LG Optimus Fuel phones for $9.99 each from Walgreens. (Limit 2 per purchase and you have to scan your card (which you can have them set you up with at checkout) These normally sell for $49.99. I use them to run Perk TV app. They will pay for themselves in ~10 days. I plan on picking up 2 or 3 more if I get the time and they are still available. Not many people are hitting Walgreens for these deals today.

Edit: I picked up 2 more today.

It was a good enough sale on clearing out Samsung and LG TV stock ahead of next year's price releases of cheaper 4K, OLED, and 4K OLED.

Didn't stop me from buying a 4K screen though... I'm a little tired of my RCA 36 inch CRT anvil that I've had since the 90s.

I have not seen anything spectacular, which is a good thing in a way. I need a good laptop deal for my brother, so far it's tied between a Lenovo and the MSI gaming laptops that are on sale.

I just saw the newegg BF deals that they release late. they really don't look like much of anything more than they have been selling for several days now its becoming apparent that BF itself is a joke where they figure people will buy whatever the put up. Better deals have been had already. The deals they have are not impressive. I guess now all they do is test the waters before BF and figure out what people will spring for then set the prices at that level or higher. Monoprice is the only company that has actually got my attention this year, its just too bad I don't really need what they are selling.

Did I blink and miss it? Hot Deals section deadest in years....
Very sad black friday... no real online deals unless you need an off brand TV or a SSD.

That 280 card for $130 seems nice, considering you get $50 in games with it. Great bang for buck if you're looking to upgrade and you're on a budget.

I haven't seen a single good deal yet.

Prices so far for this Black Friday "sale" are not even lower than other sales throughout the year.

Its all hype, just like every year.

Theres nothing spectacular, the so called "sale" is a lie! Just because they wrote some shit marked down from another price doesnt actually make it so!

I thought for sure newegg would have some secret deals that would surprise me in the morning nothing showed up lol. In fact many things newegg had on sale actually went up in price. The intel 480gb 730 ssd went up $20 on BF. How sad is that. They must have really figured out that BF shoppers don't even think or look.

The saddest part is we will probably hear on the news how retailers had a smash hit BF. lol of course they did they sold the same junk for more than ever.

waiting for cyber monday, this black friday has been.. not great except getting a pair of Senn HD598 for $99...

The SSD deals are nice, but i think they will stay this low anyways by next year as SSD have been dropping since mid summer..

some really hot deals in the hot section of the forum this black Friday...................

I wound up picking up a Sapphire R9 280x for $215. I thought that was a good deal.
