I am really looking forward to this game but the rate at which developers are leaving the company is a bit scary.

Since its self-imposed media blackout, BioShock Infinite developer Irrational Games has seen a number of staff leave. The trend continues with two more departures revealed. Internet super sleuth Superannuation discovered that lead AI programmer Don Norbury and lead combat designer Clint Bundrick left this month to join Microsoft, according to their LinkedIn profiles.

Trust me if they left to go to Microsoft they were just in it for the money grab......they can easily be replaced.

Hehe, Bundrick! Funny name! Anyway, I don't see what's missing if the game doesnt have AI and combat. They can just lift that stuff from the last BioWhatever game in the series.

Obviously you dont understand how awesome a company MS is to work for, and that the talent they bring in is only but the best. Not so easily replaced.

THEY DO NOT BRING IN THE BEST TALENT!. What kind of idiot says that from a company that has produced, win 8 and surface, who created the Ribbon...obviousness speaks for itself.

You seem a little upset.

It's shame ... this was definitely one of the AAA titles I was looking forward to next year ... C'est la Vie :(

You really have no idea what you're talking about.

I'm sorry, but are you implying that Irrational Games doesn't pay its employees? I mean, if they have to jump to Microsoft to get paid, who can blame them? Besides, unless you happen to know for a fact that Microsoft pays its people 4x-5x better than IG, what are you even talking about when you say "cash grab"? I mean-who wouldn't jump to another company for a lot better paycheck? Your comments don't make a lot of sense...

I'm hoping that the IG game is nearly done, and these employees are saying so-long as part of a well-planned, long-known move agreed to in advance by everyone involved.

Because obviously Microsoft is such a small company that the Windows 8 team (software), the Surface team (hardware), the Ribbon team (who is actually the Office team), and the Games teams (xbox and/or PC games division) share the same offices.

I'm not a fan of the "ribbon" interface, but Windows 8 and the Surface haven't even been released yet. The Surface actually looks to be pretty awesome by the way, and despite all the whinging about Metro on the desktop, a touch screen tablet/convertible seems like the perfect implementation of Metro.

Damn them.... leaving for better paid jobs.... WHO THE HELL DO THEY THINK THEY ARE?!

They are bringing in cover base shooting, and a cell shaded overal brown color to it,so it'll sell tons of copies.

Could be worse..they could be poached by Apple :p
..and put to work writing game patents then turn around and sue the rest of the gaming industry including Microsoft!

Just because a company has good developers doesn't mean the product is going to be good.
Just because a band has good musicians doesn't mean the album is going to be good.
Just because a dish has good ingredients doesn't mean it's going to taste good.
etc.
etc.

That's probably the stupidest post I've read in a while.

Two things: First, Bioshock Infinite is so far along that I doubt the loss of 2 developers is going to seriously affect the game's release.

Second, the game has been delayed so long that any interest I had in it waned a long time ago.

Somebody back me up, Microsoft has no clue what its doing lately, i post something in that direction and I get flamed, what happened to the college educated people here. If you 18 year old nerd of course your gonna assume Microsoft is hiring talented people, but the physical products they are introducing to the market are not that, their derivative, shallow and lack actual good decision making. The only reason Microsoft is still in business is because they have cornered the PC market for so long that they are a big player still.

Somebody back me up.....intelligence should win not people whom the stupidest thing they've read is from me.

So, no you won't get any support from this camp of one.

Irony, your post is chock full of it.

ms knows what it's doing, it's branching out in the tablet market and allowing pc software to work on them and vice versa. That might not be what enthusiasts want on the pc but ms sure looks to know where it wants to be , tommorrow and in the future.

I contend Microsoft DOES NOT know what they are doing and is lost. My comments are dynamic I can post whatever I want and 1 statement does not reveal my intelligence level. These are my opinions, ZING!

fyi, go obama, u f'd up Romney BAD last night.

Stop drunk posting.

Stop with the politics (especially when what you type makes no sense. If you actually read it before posting you would notice that what you wrote is an fyi TO Obama "u f'd up Romney BAD last night" I'm sure he appreciates your support but I doubt the President is reading these forums.)

Zing.
