Hey guys. Well i just made my new system: amd 64 3000 venice, dfi lanparty sli dr, sapphire radeon x800 256 bit 256mb gddr3, ocz enhanced latency gold series 512mb, fortron source 500 watt PSU. Well i just ran 3DMArk 05 and i think i got a preatty low score for my system: 3850.also on aquamark 52K. Yes i have downloaded all the chipset drivers, graphic drivers all the lates ones.

On 3dmark 05 it says total agp memory is 128mb but how is that possible since i have a SLI/Pci-express motherboard and graphics card? and on my graphic card capabilites it says AGP Texturing. and on my motherboard info it says AGP, Availabe Rate: 0x00000000. so is their sumthing wrong with my motherboard? y isnt it detecting it as pci-express. is their sumthing i need to do on my motherboard?? thanks for ur help!!!

It's something, not sumthing.
1- Your score is pretty normal considering your rig. There's a big difference between X800 and X850XT-PE.

2- Memory doesn't sum up. It's like dual-channel ram.

so u r saying tat my score is normal??? i thought on aquamark i would at least get 60K .

Just my opinion...

But if you bought the machine for benchmarking, thats one thing.

If you bought it to game, thats a _very_ respectable rig. That will play anything out there at great settings and resolution. Just load 'er up and frag. Forget about benchmark numbers unless you are in a benchmark club or something and your membership is relying on that 60k number.

Its just a number.... :D

Also, how is 1 benchmark off a big problem. Your machine posted, its into windows, its running game engines....

Wolf! :p

The plain X800 is hardly a benchmarking beast ;). I would say that's a decent score for that card. If you OC your CPU a little bit, your AM3 score will go up. I got a similar score with a s754 A64 running 2.35Ghz and a vanilla 6800 with 12 pipes. X800 is also 12 pipes.

QFT

game more, bench less. :) (unless you're a benchieboy... some folks just like to bench..)

Benchmarks aren't worth that much...my 6800gt put up a 4900 3dmark05, a decent enough score, but at the same time it was doing that it was artifacting like a son of a gun. I'd be happy that all of your stuff works and you aren't waiting 7-9 days for your RMA'd card to come from FedEx. And I know it's not cool to be a grammar nazi, but I think you could put just a bit more effort into respecting your language without causing too severe of an aneurysm.

Well yea i will be usually gaming with it. On call of duty i had a constant 60 FPS.

So my question is "are you happy with it?"

If yes, Congrats on the new build!

Sad truth is (I've learned this looonnggg ago) that someone else has something better and faster and spent waay more cash on theirs. Are they happy, probably. Am I happy? You betcha!

If you're not happy, the first option is tweaking, but you can only go so far without exotic measures which either means cash or experience (sometimes both)

yea i am preatty happy with it so far. All i need to know is how many pixel piplines i have unlocked right know. is their anyway to show that?

You made up a new word!
And here is my definition for your word.

Promblem def: A problem that occurs either at the prom or concerned with the prom.

Your 3DMark05 score is fine, even though it is the third one I have seen for a plain X800.

Get more MEMORY!!!!!!! Ugh, how can you even live in Windows XP, let alone a game with only 512MB is beyond me.

I used XP with 256mb of SDRAM. :p

I actually did too at one point, it wasnt fun. I then went to 512MB of DDR, still wasnt very happy with performance within windows, and I finally feel okay with 1GB, and I'm probably gonna grab another GB come October or November for a pre christmas gift for myself.

fine score, and its got GDDR3

and stfu about 512MB and gaming :p pshhhh ive got 4500 in 2k5 and ive got 512 and im fine :p then again, i DID run at 2.6ghz for the most part heheh :p i want more though :( ( it was a 6800nu + 512, or 6600gt and 1gig... i took the better gfx card heheh )

Yes, I'd like to see you run BF2 at 1280x1024 with all settings maxed with except textures which are at medium, no issues on my 6800nu. I'd like to see how it goes for you though with only 512MB of RAM.

THAT is undoable right now, i dont have a PROBLEM gaming, thats pushing the limits though :p but BF2 is incredibly memory sucking anyway, HL2? done deal :p doom3? works wonders :p BF2? not so much :p

BF2 is a crap game. All it is, is bugs. Wait until Call of Duty 2 comes out its gona kick BF2's A**
