take a look in the work log's for the galaxy 4 it's probly similar to what you're looking for..
 
no galaxy 4 is a work log, its not a case or a product, its someone like you showing us what he is doing.

the case he is using is a Lian-Li PC-343B fill with 5in3

the pc-343b has 18 external 5.25 bays, so if you use 4x 5in3's that would be 20 hard drives and 6 5.25's for you to use.
 
TT Armor? its relatively quiet, and it fits plenty of optical/hard drives.
Ive had mine for 3 months and its great.
 
You could get a Chenbro Ultra to work. It's not pretty though.

With the proper adapters, you could bump it up from
12 5.25
8 3.5
1 3.5 (ext)

to

8 3.5
5 3.5 (using a NET enclosure on the CPU side, which can be mounted above the mobo)
3 5.25"
12 3.5" with 3 5.25 to 4 3.5" adapters.
1 3.5 (ext)
giving you a grand total of
25 3.5" internal
3 5.25" external
1 3.5" external.

Yes, the case is silent. It doesn't make any noise. Silence comes from the PSU and fans that you put in your system, not necessarily the case. Mods to a case can be done to improve silence, like cutting out stock fan grills, but IIRC the Lian Li ones aren't bad to begin with.

That thing has got to be loud as hell with all of those fans.... but it has got a ton of modding potential. I actually think it's pretty cool...

The Lian Li is better and more quite with 15-20 hdd

The Mountain Mods is far less expensive than the Li-Li cube.
Not to mention you'll have to spend a fortune on HD racks to house in the Li-Li and the Li-Li has no removable motherboard tray - whats with that? Much easier to do stuff with a removable tray like the UFO has.

I like the setup in the Galaxy 4 build. You could get the storage you need in a more compact case.
 
do yourself a favor and run through the galaxy 4.0 worklog.

the key to that build is massive hard drives and complete silience. which seems like is what you want.

with aftermarket fans and the right psu you can achieve almost complete silience.

not to dog on the mountain mods case, but they hold about the same amount of hard drives without adapters.(ufo is 9, lian li is 7) if you have to spend a fortune on the lian li hd racks, same will go with the UFO, but then again you cant really since their isnt nearly as many 5.25's. im not sure you can acheive 20 hard drives without making some custom brackets.
 
You can buy a rack that fits in the back of the case, the part number is PC343b and it runs about $25.00. Or, you can get a bunch of these.

Each one of those racks will hold 3 drives, and TWO will fit in the case. That equals six drives, so your going to have to mount the other 14 in the 5.25 bays with the adaptrers I linked you to earlier.

And out of curiousity, what on earth are you going to do with 20 hard drives??

Okey, So I can have 4 components in the 5,25" and 20 Hdd in the case?

I will have it to my house with lots of computers, So I will use it as a server =)

How can I do the case more quiet?

Can I remove the wheels?

If you are going to put that many drives into a case, I would not use anything other than hot swap bays. My old system had 6 drives and when one failed it was a real pain to replace a drive. My new system (see sig) has hot swap bays and its not a problem to replace a drive (unlock + pop out + unscrew + replace + screw + pop in + lock). If you get a raid card that supports online drive replacement you can even replace drives without turning the system off.

I didn't see you say what kind of drives you are going to put into the system so I'll assume you are going to use off the shelf SATA (if you are using PATA or SCSI then you would just have to search for the appropriate enclosure).

For drive enclosures you have a few choices (just picking Newegg as they seem to be popular):

Each of those bays will fit 5 drives, and it fits snugly into 3 5.25" external bays. So you just need 4*3 = 12 5.25" external bays in either 1x3 3x3 or 2x3 2x3 form if you go double width. I do believe that the Stacker 810 has 11x5.25" but the top bay can be removed for 12x5.25" (Didn't the guy who built the Galaxy do this?). That would offer plenty of cooling. You could of course find another case similar to a Stacker or just go all out with something like: http://www.servercase.com/miva/miva...Product_Code=CK1200C&Category_Code=Adv+Server

And uh, I don't think you will ever make 20 hard drives quiet. If you manage to accomplish this task, do let me know how! My 8 drives are probably the loudest part of my system when I'm running my fans @ 7v.

$9 less than the Li-Li 80mm fan models. Also 80mm = more noise less flow.
With 6 of these you can get 18 hard drives in the UFO (all cooled by 120mm fans) and still have 5 x 5.25 bays left available.
 
When I had that Ultra built, it was damned expensive. It doesn't come with all those fans, i added them as I wanted the best aircooling I could get.

All the fans were panaflo, so the loudest fan in the thing was the PSU (A PC Power & Cooling Turbo).

if you're genuinely interested: www.coolcases.com is where I bought my Ultra from -back in 2001. I'm not entirely sure they're still made any more.
