Yeah i just can't get the BF2 graphics to look right on my new LCD. I'm running 1280 X 1024 currently. How can i get the graphics to look as good/ better than they did on my regular screen on 1028 x 768?
 
At a higher resolution the graphics should look better. So your saying the graphics at 1024 x 768 look better than at 1280 x 1024? Thats odd, try messing with your bf2 video settings.
 
the video settings drop down menu only goes up to to 1280 X 960. I'm at 1280X1024. Therein lies the problem
 
To get bf2 to run at 1280 x 1024 you need to add some switches.

Right click on the bf2 shortcut -> properties -> shortcut -> target :

"C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024


In terms of getting it to look better, i believe after you have every other setting for visual quality and have been able to apply them successfully to the game ( restarted etc. ) then you should add the switches. i dunno in my case bf2 is quirky about how it accepts the settings. but hope that helps
 
Nope. 1280x1024 was hard as hell to get out of them, I'm willing to bet that it will take two more patches to get widescreen out of them.
