QFT. "And again, as expected, once every knob is turned on high, the weaker GPUs are left behind in the dust, and even the mighty stumble. While remaining definitely extremely playable, even the X850XT fails to provide the extra-smooth performance rating preferred by professional gamers." wow...the XT is going about 60 FPS on high @ 1024x768, and he says its not "extra smooth performance." Just wow...trinibwoy said:Utter BS......
I must admit I usually like the site but that does take the biscuit. No SLI, No Ultra, no GT level cards.Za_Goobinator said:Wow, that is crap. Where's the 6800 Ultra? or GT? Totally biased![]()
Intel_Hydralisk said:Also.. the x700 LE beat the 6800?? Man how much money did ATI pay him to make himself look like a total jackass.
Me said:The 9800, 6800, 6200 and 5200 were run on an old 2600+. The others were run on a new X2.
Dunno how the 9800 beat out the 6800, though.
[Tripod]MajorPayne said:What's worse is that the 6800 is running on a 2600+ with Single Channel RAM, but the PCI-E cards (all by ATI for some reason) are running on the X2 4800+! That's....not right. If they put a 6800 GT on that PCI-E setup, it'd easily keep up with, if not beat (marginally) the X800XL. C'mon, any reviewer should know that you get increased performance when you almost double the CPU speed. Plus the dual core thing. This is terrible.![]()

I was on voodoextreme.com, and noticed the link to the story. The numbers on those pages seem a bit off. They have a 9800 wooping all over a 6800!
Obi_Kwiet said:I thought the 6800 plain was worse than the 6600GT. What surprised me was the 6200 and the X700. They did way better than I thought.
I have here in my test systems a 6600GT and a 9600se. And even though I have not actually run the game on the 9600se, I feel confident in stating that it looks better and plays smoother than the 6600gt. Crippled as it is by a 1ghz cpu and pc133 sdram and it's own 64bit memory, the 9600se would probably be WAY better. The 6600gt did seem to play the game, though I didn't really pay attention as I was busy stenciling the ati logo on my sack.
thank you for your impartiality. We would finally like to thank those kick-ass folks at ASUS for providing us with the GPUs on review today, and for producing the most excellent hardware we routinely stock our work and home machines with. Yeah, we're !!!!!!s, so what?

BLenderhedd said:That has got to be the shittiest benchmarking review I've ever read.
I would now like to fill in a blank or two for the author however, for those of you wanting GT series cards included...
