Only 1 player in a vehicle will get credit for or speed up capturing
a flag at a CP. The other passengers must exit the vehicle to increase
the speed of capture or receive capture score.

It happened the 1st time I played Wake Island and some one else had the same problem. Started off okay(red & blue) then went all blue on me. Has yet to happen again to me so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
 
Rumor has it no widescreen monitor suppor from 1.03

Well i can definitely say that EA is going to have shitfest on their hands. I just played the new Wake Island map and screwed around for a bit and just jumped 3 ranks to staff sergent and just gained 3 weapon unlocks. I was a Lance Corporal with halfway to Corporal and within 5 mins I get this. If EA even attempts to fix this, how are they going to track who had what before the patch?
 
I think they want you to jump ranks. They thought it was too long between ranks before.

Also we should have a [H]ard torrent link setup. Does anybody have one yet? I'm still at work and can't fire up BitTorrent.
 
only bitch i have so far is that wake is ONLY 64 player size. no sp of it either.

they lowered requirements for rankings, but also added new rankings
 
I actually like the idea of a new ranking system... I quit playing regularly when I realized how long it took to get the next rank from Lance Corporal.

I agree 100%. The new ranking system will make it more fun for people like me who only play about 4-6 hours a week. I have a full-time job, a wife, and a kid on the way.
 
I agree. The ranking needed a redefinement. This way, people can get more out of the game.
 
New ranking system is fine for me. I'll get 3 more unlocks to go with the two I already had, which will be 2 more than I'll ever need.
 
would others who have played with the new patch comment on how it is? has anyone played spec ops and blown up commanders assests and got points? for example. thanks in advance. :D

If you are downloading this from someplace else, I'd bet that 90% of the time you'd still get it faster from there. Nice find!
 
well I can see now why EA did what they did with the new ranking system, it would explain why bazillions of lance corporals jumped 3 levels and got weapon unlocks. Just have to play around with it a bit more I guess.

The only thing that I dont like about wake island is the lack of vehicles on the map, they all seem to be centered around the airport area and there are almost none near the outer reaches of the island which can be annoying if you get stranded and have to walk back to get anywhere.
 
The SAW is still useless, when will people figure out deployed light machine-guns are accurate and deadly at short to medium range. :rolleyes:

Isn't that what it is made for? It is supposed to be a defensive deployed weapon, they need to tighten up the prone/ironsight accuracy and leave the rest alone.

Haha, so now I have 3 unlocks but I can't decide between these 4:

Assault - G3
Sniper - M95
Medic - something "85A" something
SF - G36C (i believe)

I unlocked the AT kit a long time ago and that's all I've been using since but I sure would like to become proficient with the other classes as well. Any suggestions?
 
i patched teh game and now whenever i go into it, it shows the little BF2 Loadie screen, and then goes into the game with blackscreen, then exits quickly.

They're all good, and it really depends on how much close-range combat you'll be doing. I have the G3, the G36C, and the M95. I would have chosen the L85A1 but I like to get into sniper mode sometimes and the M95 is a great .50 cal for that. The G3 is very accurate and does a lot of damage, while at very close range the G36C will put a hurting on people.

If you don't particulalrly like to snipe then I would go with all the closer-range weapons, so no matter which kit you have you'll have a nice primary weapon.

Try rebooting your machine and if that doesn't work just re-install the game.
