Are you using them with a headphone amp or directly thru your sound card or a mixer etc.?

[saber9505]

You really need an amp with these. DT770's really only shine with an amp...

[Naldo]

Right now I am running them straight from my extigy, but I have a pa2v2 any a little dot on the way (gonna keep one and sell the other). Hopefully they will help.

You made the right choice I have the same headphones, just got it locally for $125 and though im poor now, i have rich and crisp sound....LOL.. Im using it directly on the front panel of my Fatal1ty...

If this is your introduction to high end audio, they'll put a big smile on your face. I'm happy with mine and they are quite comfy.

Hope you enjoy them for years to come!

Aren't there a few versions with different impedances?

[dslrjunky]

I have seen 250 and 80, lots of people swear by the 80 as the best of the best..unamped or amped..

[Mister X]

I thought the 250 ohmers were the better of the two.

[ring.of.steel]

i have bought the 80's. Im waiting for them to arrive i cant wait . Whats the bass like on these?

Yes. At least an 80ohm and 250ohm for the pre 2005 version. I'm not sure if there was a 600ohm version or not of the Pro version.

[kelbear]

They're quite nice, I thoroughly enjoy my 80s.

[Ricey]

i have audiotechnicas so cant directly comment on them but they were highly recommended along with the technicas when i was looking for a good pair of cans.

I believe thundering is about the only word that fits, among audiophiles, these are the bassheads cans.

[Eagle156]

WOW, they go down to 5hz?

too bad your ears don't.
