Better buy, e7200 or e6550?

My friend is going for a more budget oriented build and is on the ropes as to which processor he wants. He's narrowed it down the the E7200 and E6550. Both have their pros and cons, so he wants further input on it.

I keep saying go for the E8400 but he doesn't want to spend that much, so let's skip suggesting that. His price limit is around 150.

Got more info from him. He'll be using this mainly for gaming. The rest of the time it'll be folding. The computer won't be very often, but he already has an ultra-120, so keeping it cool shouldn't be too much of an issue. He said if he overclocks, it will be a low or mild overclock. Nothing past 3.

E7200. Low power-usage, high performance, proven clocker, good price... a champion for value.
 
I would say neither. If he can't afford an E8400/Q6600 then drop down to an E2180 and spend the rest on a better vid card. Or wait till June and buy an E3140 instead.
 
He can afford it, he just doesn't want to put that amount of money into it. His car takes first priority to money, but he feels that it's time to say goodbye to his P4. He thanks everyone for the input though, he said he's gonna go with the 7200.
