What would be the best upgrade for 1920x1200 resolution for maximum in game settings and 4x AA.

I wouldn't spend more than $600-700.

your sig and time on here indicates you are pretty hardware knowledgeable. so are you really not capable of looking at all the benchmarks and drawing a conclusion yourself? :p

I know some of the benchmarks but would like an opinion unless I'm overlooking something.

I would wait on the gtx475(for sli) which will be the unlocked 384sp version of the gtx460. my guess is around 3-4 weeks and we should be seeing a confirmed launch date on those.

GTX480.

Although with a 4870X2, unless you have a game that is unplayable I probably wouldn't bother at this stage in the release cycle.

5970. Fastest card on the market. Not sure if its worth $680 or not but if you're willing to spend it, that's the most muscle you can buy.

But in all honesty, a GTX480 would be enough to max out 95% of games at 1920x1200, and maybe more.
