Is this a movement?

Been toying the idea around to build the best low power gaming machine. I want this machine to suck less power then my fake internet girlfriend.

Can someone direct me to like minded, a forum, or group.

Closest I can think of would be any forum focused on passive or extremely low noise PC cooling. Maybe SilentPCReview.com.

But honestly, it's stupid easy to make a relatively low power gaming PC. Hell all you have to do with my current system in my sig is swap out the cards for a 750Ti (lowest power bang for the buck card) or GTX 970 card (fastest best bang for the buck high performance low power card), remove the four hard drives, and it's easily "low power"

Intel i3/i5/i7
Nvidia 750 Ti/960/970
SSD not HDD

Just depends on your budget. What's the question here?

My budget is a zillon gabillion dollars

Like how silentpc's became a thing. I still want to play BF4, fine with it FPS good enough.

I just want to do it with the least amount of power needed.. just because.

Only use for really low power towers is if you have to buy hundreds for a big company (then you will notice it in electricity bill). Or you need to run it from a battery (which I do from time to time).
Lowest powerconsumption is found in the very small pc's like the Intel NUC and Gigabyte brix (core M processor), but these are lacking on the graphics front. There will certainly be a Nuc/Brix type op pc with a 970m or similar. That will be your best bet for low power consumption. Your monitor will also be a big part of your powerconsumption, lower brightness and use a hood.

I'm running an AMD A10 5800k, 750 Ti, 8 gigs of ram, and a single SSD on a 160 watt picoPSU with 1 fan (thread here). You can push the power consumption even lower by start with an i3 or i5.

Then melk already built it for you. The biggest power consumers in a gaming PC that you can actually tweak are typically:

(1) GPU (Anything Nvidia Maxwell)
(2) CPU (Anything Intel Haswell)
(3) Disk drives (Anything SSD).

The only other recommendation I can give you: buy a mainstream-level motherboard instead of enthusiast-level, because more gadgets = more power, and overclocking = much more power. But at that point you're talking a few watts difference between motherboards, so you really shouldn't care.

If you give us a budget, use case, and timeline to build, we'll put one together for you.
