best gpus for tri-sli?

Well if we're going balls to the wall, we may as well do it in style with GTX 580's.
 
At minimal costs brand new? GTX 465. With no budget? GTX 580. And of course, anything in between depending on your budget.
If you want to go used with an older generation for lower costs, then the GTX 260 core 216, 275, or 285.
 
Any reason why you need to go tri-SLI? You'd probably be better off getting dual GTX 570. Scaling past that is not terribly cost efficient.
 
What do you mean what are the best gpu's for tri-sli? Obviously it would be the three fastest cards? GTX580's.
 
no offense to the OP but he is probably one of those people that has been out of the loop so long he thinks he needs a $2500 pc to play games. he has probably skipped generation after generation of upgrades always waiting on the next best thing to come out. he is probably at the point that what he has cant even handle any games. in the mean time he could have been playing games the whole time by getting something realistic instead of constantly waiting just to buy the fastest stuff out there.

I am basing this off the fact that he stated no budget, gave no info and has no sig. if I am wrong then I apologize. heck maybe all he wanted to know was simply what was the best and has no concern of actually buying anything. until he comes back and actually makes a useful post then all we are doing is wasting our time beyond stating gtx580 is the best.
