Geared2Play.com is a New York Based company. Most of our products are assembled in America, by American's, and geared by patriotic individuals who speak "American". Thanks for looking!

Good god, whoever done that heading on that site needs a slap, didn't know people had to be patriotic to assemble pc's. Wonder if they sing star spangled banner while installing the cpu.

I am going to be turning 18 in march, and I was considering applying for financing on a beast gaming PC on my birthday. So far the only PC companies I know of that have really good gaming rigs and have financing are VoodooPC, Dell, Alienware. Any others? I know I can build my own, but what I can't do is get the money to pay for it. But I can pay a monthly bill on it.
Don't get a Dell... rip-off.

be like the "dude get a dell!" guy, and spend your money on coke. lol.

you should try and find an independent company, as it would be a heck of alot cheaper probaly....

ive been looking at cyberpower and monarch. Others seem too expensive. What others can you reccommend? Should i stay away from cyberpower?

Sometimes this is true, but oftentimes, it is not. Most 'independent' companies are what one would call boutiques or custom integrators. Most don't have the high-volume sales that a large OEM has, so they don't have the luxury of offering systems for bottom dollar. The ones that have been able to persist usually either offer extremely competitive pricing, or make you feel as if you're appreciated as a customer.

best buy is selling a amd 64 x2 gateway with 1 gig of ram and a 250 gb hard drive for $870. Just need to throw in a video card and your set.

maybe no the best gaming rig but thats a bargain

Yeah, I think that sounds good. But how much better is a amd 64 than an x2??

To the topic creator don't go the intel extreme route its a waste of money your getting like a 2-3% gain by paying an extra 500-600 bucks. I would suggest you go the FX route if your into gaming or even the dual core route.

If your interested I have a FX60 (Toledo Core/Silver Box/Never Been Oc'ed) w/ASUS A8N-SLI Prem for $875 Shipped(USD), I know for a fact that the beast would reach 3.0 on 1.4 without trying.

Concerning Monarch & Cyberpower:

I have been researching components and online vendors for over three months now. When I first started, Cyberpower was what I was going to go with. However, after several phone conversations with Puget Computers, Cyberpower, and Monarch Computers, comparing prices for similar machines, and after reading the reseller ratings...

http://www.resellerratings.com/seller6897.html for Cyberpower

http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2079.html for Monarch Computer Systems

http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1537.html for Puget

(please forgive if the links do not work)

...I ended up choosing Monarch.

Monarch had the best balance of customer service, good prices, and a great lifetime rating.

I had a horrendous experince talking with Cyberpower on the phone, e-gads!

Monarch and Puget were very professional.

Puget computers might have the best overall customer service and the option of substituting any part listed on their pc-builder with anything not listed, but when you compare prices for the same components, it was almost 1/4 more $ than Monarch.

Monarch just seemed to be the best balance.

I am however currenting waiting for my Monarch computer to arrive, so we will see. Take this post and my experience thus far as you will.

*wish*

I have purchased five Alienwares and one Hypersonic in the last two years, all with OS CDs.

As for best gaming builder: You can't go wrong with Alienware,Hypersonic,VooDoo, or FNW. You get a higher level of sevice with Alienware if you are a corporate or ALX customer.

LOL. That could maybe be an attack against Dell and all their overseas crappy support?

BTW the hardware this company sells is about as cheesy as their website.

I desided I needed a "state-of-the-art" gaming computer. I wanted the builders to be local, don't want to have to ship the china or mexico. Wanted good support both on site and by phone. I checked out all the top computer builders, read a lot on this form and came up with PUGET Builders in the State of Washington. They talked to me by phone and E-Mail several times I put together 7 different gaming systems and with their input, came up with the following:
Motherboard, Asus A8N32-SLI Delux
CPU, AMD Athion 64 (939) FX57 2.8Hz
Ram, Corsair CMX1024 (2 sticks)
Case, Lian-Li PC7H+
Power Supply, Seasonic S12 500W power supply
1st. hard drive, Raptor 150GB, 10,000speed
2nd. " " , Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 350GB
Video card, eVGA Geforce 7800 GTX ACS 256MB (2)
Sound card, Creative X-Fi Xttreme
CD/DVD Rom, Lite On 16XDual Layer DVD-RW/RW
Operating system, Windows XP Pro
Services, 3 year Warranty
This rig is in the $4000 range. They start to build it 3/7/06. I'll let you know how it all turns out!

You are spending $4000 and not even getting a dual-core proc?

Also - why skimp on the PSU for that kind of money. May as well get a PC P&C.

Dude, seriously... your system is still badass. Maybe you can get a GS or something... but yeah. Save the money while you're young and invest. Then when you're 25 and look at your fat bank account, then you should start to build a gaming rig with DX12 video cards and 10 card SLi and 12 core CPU's. woot woot
