What's your favorite external drive- and what are the best features all of us need to know about?
 
I usually buy an enclosure that supports both USB and ESATA for about £15 to £25 and then a HDD. the WD greens are usually good for this stuff, but the cheaper the better, unless you want something more speedy if using ESATA.

If I want something portable, I still go with ESATA, but make sure its powered ESATA or a ESATA cable that powers via an integrated USB Cable.
