Best case around 50$?

Why not NZXT or Lian Li?

Moved to the correct subforum BTW

The guy who builds my computer says he doesn't know these brands..

also the NZXT Source 210 Elite Black ATX Case
doesn't seem to be available

I am in Canada. there's not alot of suggestions in your case list that are around 50$

There's a reason for that: There's not that many good cases for around $50 even here in the U.S. They usually have the following issues:
1) They don't have free shipping. As such the cost of shipping that up their price to that of more expensive cases with free shipping.

2) They're cramped

3) They have limited to no cable management features

4) They only come with a single 120mm fan. The cost of an additional 120mm fan often puts them right in the price range of more expensive and better cases.

Also note that the Source 210 Elite Black is in stock in Canada for around $50 CAD:

For what purpose? What internals required. do you want fans included?
BitFenix Outlaw, Shinobi.

Do you like heavy/strong or adequate build factor?
In general the size and heat output of present and planned video cards is one parameter. The CPU cooling plan is another.
How many Hard Drives, Optical, Front USB3? Fans? Water cooling changes a great deal.

The Cooler Master HAF 912 goes on sale around $50, easy build, fits large heat sinks, stong case, included fans quiet more than stong. Sturdy. Work in progress for top line case.
Rosewill Challenger is lighter and narrower, with some newer features, three fans.
I've built computers in both, the 912 is better for hard overclocking and the like.
The Rosewill Challenger less all out, I like both.

Rosewill Destroyer $40 using discount code EMCNJHF35 at the moment ($60 list) read reviews, no personal experience.

Thermaltake V9 BlacX Edition with docking station $75 before $25 MIR

HEC Blitz $40 shipped, simple strong needs fans, some less "finished" edges works well for price.

Rosewill Redbone, update of Blackbone, bottom mount psu, good features, more desktop/ moderate gamer.

Cooler Master Elite 430.

Samples from newegg USA. I enjoy working with different cases and making changes at need. But you need to be willing to spend time and effort and start over.
Usually I buy cases on sale and wind up making them mine. So I have wound up investing (if that is the word) in fans, filters, splitters, extenders, assorted hardware and thumb screws, vented expansion slot covers, assorted tools. Not cost effective but fun.

How could any computer enthusiast not know about Lian Li? and to a lesser extent NZXT? ...
I agree. Do you really want that guy building your computer? :p Are you sure he knows what he's doing? I guess it's possible, though. I wonder, what brand(s) does he recommend?

What kind of a "computer builder" has never heard the names NZXT or Lian Li before?

Anyway, question for you guys since this thread already exists: Danny (or anyone else), I too have been looking for a best value case in the $50 range, and noticed this case on sale at Newegg (Rosewill DESTROYER) for $40 ($50 - $10 instant promo code = $40) and includes free shipping. Reviews seem okay, but figured I'd check here for the heck of it.

Appears to be a little cramped and little cable management features. From a personal aesthetics, it reminds me too much of the ugly Antec 900. With that shat said, it isn't a horrible choice at $40 shipped.
