Umm, so I reserved SWToR @ BB.com cause I had a $20 reward cert and I needed to spend it or lose it.

That was some 2 weeks ago. Now, like most sites I figured I wouldn't get charged till the product shipped.

Anyone have reserve experiences with Best Buy that could chime in. I'm not pissed about it, so much as I'm wondering if there's something that Bioware is not telling us about the forthcoming beta, and if this signifies something along those lines

It's not uncommon for places to charge you right then and there for a pre-order. Not sure if it's commonplace at BB, but in most cases, this is the norm.

It depends on store, but this is uncommon for Best Buy, for me at least. They charge my card typically a day or two before release.

Good business practice would be to charge when you ship the product. Good consumer practice is to preorder when you have a solid date.

I pre-orded BF3 from Bestbuy and only was charged the typical 5$ pre-order charge.
