I'm looking for the best Radeon Card for Overclocking.. probably air cooled. Either the card with a good VGA cooler that comes with it or the card and a third party cooler.

I'm not quite sure what you mean with "best card for overclocking". the high-end cards 5870 is probably the current fastest ati single card when overclocked, but the 5770 (that have voltage regulation chips that allow voltage modding) seems to have the most head-room, at least from all the overclocking results I've looked through for the different cards.

the reference 5850 can be unlocked to allow voltage control. You can get pretty awesome overclocks because of that. I have mine at 1000/1200 core/memory. This is up from 750/1000 stock. I use the stock cooler.

HD5850.... this card. The reference board is sweetest.

It's underclocked and undervolted down the wazoo, at "stock." A minor bump already brings it, easily, to HD5870 speeds.

I have the 5770 and I'm messing around with the MSI Afterburner but I'm wondering what the best settings are and if I over clock, should I consider a way to aircool it better than stock or liquid?

I'd suggest going into MSIAfterburner.cfg file and changing "enable unofficial overclockling = 0" to "= 1" to enable it. next I'd check to see if the voltage regulation chip on your video card will allow voltage modification (most will, but whether it's locked on the board's bios or not is anyone's guess. if it is, you may want to do a bios flash to unlock it), and unlock the voltage control setting in msi afterburner's settings. that out of the way I'd have furmark handy for a stress tester (no more than 3 min tests and pay attention to the heat, if it gets above the mid/high-70s you 'll want to stop it). you'll probably also want to configure afterburner's auto fan-speed controller as stock is usually cut off at ~80% fan speed with overly high temps.

with all that done you'll want to increase your core clock first (no more than 5~10 MHz bumps between stress testing), when you start to reach instability raise the voltage by 25 mV at a time and retest the same core clock to see if that fixes stability. when you reach a core speed you're happy with (or can't go any further), start raising the memory clock speed (10~20 MHz bumps) and test for stability in between each bump.

the card should be able to handle temps in the low 80s well, but I don't like mine running any higher than mid-70s under furmark (luckily I don't see temps above mid-60s)
