Greetings Horde! Its been a while since I've done any active folding. Looked up my stats on the F@H homepage to see how far I had come before I stepped away only to find that I still had boxen folding away!!!! Looks like a few of the machines I had deployed the client on so long ago are still crunching away. This has renewed my interest in becoming active in folding again! However, I have a few questions that will bring me back up to speed and I was hoping you all could help out.
1 - My username is still up and active, but how do i go about linking new clients to my username? I remember doing something along the lines of putting in a user id number into a text file somewhere??? Again, its been a while, and my memory isn't that sharp.
2 - I noticed that the new console client installs as a system service! This is great news and i'm guessing that this negates having to install a seperate program to run the client as a service. Nothing extra needed?
3 - From what I can remember, the client only works during unused cpu cycles, is this still the case? Is there an on/off command for the console, other than killing the process, that allows me to start/stop the work?
I cant think of anything else I could be doing with my many machines sitting around just storing files. Thanks for your help everyone.
