I have the Acer W4-820 tablet Bay trail Intel HD Graphics.
The current display drivers are dated Nov 2013. The Intel update utility says they are up to date. Sandra says there are new drivers. Not that I can find.
However they are based on Ivy Bridge HD, They have new drivers as of March 2014, but The Z3740 is not on the support list. Anybody here have a bay trail tab that has been updated?
Thanks for any info....

Because I like to have drivers that are not almost 6 months old and probably the first driver release for Bay trail. Also this little 8" tab can play some games.New drivers fix certain glitches with games and other things. Would you guys out there want outed dated drivers for your Nvidia or Amd hardware? Intel just recently made new drivers just to run Titan fall so they do update occasionally. I expect the max performance of any hardware I own. I don't do just email and Web...

Its a tablet. And as such it likely is not top priority for driver development. 6 months is very young for drivers, especially in the tablet world.

That said most tablets are used for browsing and email.

For my PC sure I have everything top notch and up to date. For my many multiple tablets.. they just work.

Anyways I am guessing if Intel doesn't show official support for a new driver, then there is no stable new driver.

If you are really jonesin send them an email.

Most tablets/laptops require you to get drivers from manufacturer. I'd e-mail Acer and see what they say.
