Thank you my man, appreciate it. It says veteran level 8, they manually added all these games i didnt even own lol. Do I have to visit that website that someone had posted earlier ? Where you enter you're email for it to check ur status of something?

EDIT AGAIN: just checked that website and it said my criteria is not met even though they added every BF game to my list and i show veteran level 8

I'm glad I could help.

However this is not instant win for the Alpha as it's a lottery pretty much. But you need to have Veteran status and also be subscribed for newsletters to be selected.

I'm in the same boat waiting for the Alpha. Good luck!

In order to get in the Alpha you have to wait for an E-mail invitation. So keep checking that inbox :)

2143 has already been said to be false. A support rep is not the best way to get info, they would be one of the last to find out, most likely would find out when it has been officially announced.

Trying this because I cannot for the life of my get my old BF2, BF2142 and BF2 Spec Ops accounts to add in...even though I know the username AND password well enough. Sigh...crappy old system.

I haven't touched BF2 or 2142 in years: does my old logon info still work? Did they change it or something?

It should be the same.

They will ask you for the E-mail address and date of birth and in some cases your login ID. That's all they really need to get all your info.

Haha! I just wanted my BF2, BF2:Spec Ops and BF2142 (no other titles needed to be added, I already had added Heroes and BF:V) titles added in...but the support guy added BF2 and all expansions, BF2142 and the expansion, and then BF1942 which I never owned. I simply said I was a PC player and got it all...

Somewhat amusing, I must admit, but at least it's all in there now...I guess I'm a +5 vet now (when I'm really just a +4)

Now...how might one try to aquire an alpha key? :D

I guess shouldn't have specifically mentioned what game was not being added when I contacted they awhile back lol...
 
You'd think the influx of people with sudden "Veteran Status" problems would trigger alarm bells in EA somewhere.

I got my Veteran Rating of 8 legitimately. /elitism
 
i went out and dug out my 1942, BF2, and 2142 keys, along with heroes beta account and the guy didn't ask for shit, he just jumped it to 6 no questions asked.
 
I have had my EA account since 2006 so I am legit anyways.

I do not even know what Veteran status is?
 
You get it for having more than one BF game tied to your account, which gives you some bonuses in the recent games. For instance in BC2 you get the M1 Garand if you have veteran status.

The database system they use however is extremely buggy, so most people end up having to contact support to get it to show up.

Where do you go to see your veteran status? I have owned legitimately (i believe all on the same EA account) BF2, all the expansions, BF 1943, BFBC, BFBC2 and MOH.

Also, the support guy was friendly but not very helpful. I asked if it was possible to register BF2 on Origin and he told me that Bad Company 2 was already registered to my account. Then he asked for my Battlefield 1942 key? I gave it to him and then he told me it was an invalid key. :x

Thanks, well im a level 3 cause i dont have the games i didnt list. Oh well, i dont want to play the alpha to be honest lol. Call me crazy but i dont want to play something im SUPER excited for when its in the Alpha phase. Its like wanting a car so bad you take it off the line half way built and drive it for a few months. It will suck and break down and ruin your enjoyment when its finished and flawless cause you already experienced it broken and flawed.

Don't worry about the veteran level. Based on what I have been reading you just need to have some veteran level that's all. It doesn't matter how high. A friend of mine only has level 1 and got it.

Make sure you signed up to receive EA newsletter.
 
Well I got my veteran status upped from 1 to 7 as a result of this thread. Thanks for the heads up. That said it should have been that way since the day I registered my copy of BC2 but that system never worked right and I could only ever get it to register BF2 and none of my other BF games( of which I own em all). So Ya I made sure I'm signed up for all the newsletters and bullshit my copy of MOH is registered with EA and has been so ya now I just need some luck to get an alpha invite.
 
im at 7 veteran status will be 8 some time next week when i get around to actually playing some bad company 1 for the first time.
 
Damn, trying to login to the support page and the page keeps resetting. It's clearly working somewhat though, since when I put the wrong password in I get an incorrect password notification..
 
LOL just got it to work. Went from 0 to 5 instantly, with no need to prove I had any of the games.. Awesome.
 
All this aint gonna mean shit to us if we cant get in on the beta lol. Which will sadly probably be the case for most of us lol.
 
Can't believe you guys missed the part where they are making a 2143.
 
my vet rank 8 will be from actually owning all the games. except modern combat or what ever that xbox game was. since its online is disabled they gave that one to me.

i gave them all my keys when i asked them to update my veteran profile.

and i bought bad company 1 on newegg for the ps3 so i could play its single player campaign just because i felt like it. which is the only game im missing from my veteran rank until it arrives later this week.
 
so whats the minimum vet rank to have to get an invite? I did the m1 garand trick and barely have a vet rank of 4 wtf

pretty much this, it doesnt matter for anything really. aslong as its 1+

atleast as far as we know, thier server randomly picks people with vet rank to send keys to but what variables they choose to use only they know.
 
Oh i see, makes me feel a lil better now. I tried to get the chat agent to send an invite to my email by saying I deleted the original. But they keep track of emails obviously enough.
