Origin was just as fast for me. I was steady at 3.1 MB

The reason I wanted to use Origin was I prefer to have them manage the game. When updates come out, I would rather origin download and apply automatically.

First thing that happens when you finish downloading from Amazon is that prompts you to install Origin. Running the installer afterwards installs the game directly into Origin. As far as I can tell, it's completely in Origin and I don't see any reason it can't update from Origin :)
 
If you haven't got your e-mail...if you go to amazon.com and go to your digital downloads you can find your cd-key there...
 
God damn it, the price went from $49.98 to $59.99 in the time I went from add-to-cart to the checkout screen. What I get for not acting earlier.
 
Yeah, there's really no reason unless your connection speed REALLY sucks.
