Battlefield 2 ?

Servers maxed out when it barelly opened when i tried to get it dam. I putting it on my download manager so it could retry every second to get in. :)
 
4th mirror appeared when i logged in with a free account..it works (but at around 50-70kbps, usually on the 50 end of it...)
 
My gamespot one disappeared for some reason at 80MB, but I just tried download.com and am getting twice the speed at 116KB/sec (got lucky and got in).
 
yea i feel your guys pain with the whole waiting, i am looking at 1:45 mins for it to finish, i know ur going to all hate this, espically since it is my first post, but we are running a BF2 demo sever at 70.85.57.44:14567 its under

my monitor can go up to 1280x1024 resolutions but in the game it doesnt list any higher than 1280x960. can anyone tell me why or what i could do to make it 1280x1024 in game? i have a bfg 6800gt oc.
 
I wanna play 1680x1050! Come on DICE, how hard is it to add in a few extra resolution settings?

BTW, does anyone know what an empty Windows Module List means? I keep getting kicked by punkbuster every game for an empty Windows Module List, which I assume is something abnormal.

You can't run it in 1680? That sucks.. Maybe a registry edit will fix it like it did with War3
 
You can edit the config file and force 1680x1050, but it crashes. The final release should allow you to run 1680x1050 hopefully.

Lord above! Why devs aren't adding WS support as standard is beyond me :( I may not even play the demo now.
 
You need to add this to the shorcut to have custom resolutions/widescreen: "+szx 1680 +szy 1050". Here is an example of my target line ""C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2 Demo\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050".
 
Any one used X600PRO ? can you tell me how it is for BF2 what setting would it run on

I can't even get the installer to fully install the game. Near the end of the install my computer just reboots and trying to load the game gives me a dx9 missing file error. All of my other games work fine, WoW, GTA:SA, Doom3, HL2

Near the end of the install it wants to update DX9c. My guess would be to manually reinstall DX9c then reinstall demo. Update DX9c again at end.
 
Anyone know if this will work:

I don't have any Internet at home at the moment but I DL'ed the demo and will bring it home to install it, can I do that?

If I run the install can I get into the Single Player part of the game without any internet access? I'm guessing I can, but don't have a way of testing to know for sure since I don't want to install it on my work Laptop. Thanks in advance guys!
 
Wow I killed this thread SORRY! Well I guess I'll find out for myself cause it's time to leave work :) I'll report back on this tomorrow I guess.

How do I reinstall directx? I tried the websetup and the redist and both just say The components are now ready for use without doing anything.
