Battlefield 2 ?

I was thinking of pre-ordering from Amazon. So do they send it on 6/21? Hmmm. Any better places to pre-order?

You mean bf42 had single player mode...damn I must reload it and check it out. :p

Supposedly the bots are much better this time around. When bf42 was released, everyone knew the SP mode was an afterthought. It was one off the first FPS's to be released that was banking on online players. It worked. HL2 is one of the few games that I have played the SP mode to the end.

www.gogamer.com and www.ebgames.com - good prices at both places. I use GoGamer quite a bit myself and have never had any issues with them, plus they sell imports that you can't get here yet... :)
 
Just read from the BF42.org site that demo should be out on the 10th.

Hope so... :)
 
I have seen that there will only one map and some say more than one.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't 1942 only have one map when its demo came out?

I think this might the same way.
 
Is BF2 going to have F# voice commands (like Enemy Armor Spotted) or is it all Voip?

Ive been getting into Desert Combat again, to prepare for Battlefield 2. Been a while since I played a Battlefield game and have to get into the hang of the controls again, LOL.

One right does not make up for many other wrongs. And the game isn't out yet. So we will see...

well they do...the rooskies gave ALOT of weapons to that area during the cold war...i think. it was still the USSR, i think it was one of afghanistans wars Russia came to help in. The area mostly has russian weapons.
 
That game is gonna rock, especially with my brand new 6600gt. If I can play hl2 on MAX settings (and max aa/af) I'm guessing I can do the same with bf2. I can't wait!
 
From the video that guy posted above......wow. This game will be like, THE best teamplay game ever made. I cannot wait to play this badboy.

I think I'll play as a Medic. (First I'll try out all the classes but afterwards, probably a medic). I enjoyed being a medic in RtCW. Everyone loves the medic 'cept when ur the opposing force.
 
With all the RAM this thing's gonna eat, I wonder if DICE could be talked into giving us an AMD64 patch. It'd be sweet to see the full power of our 64-bit systems brought to bear on this game.

cool so many medics i read that when you die medic can heal you and you get up in BF2 ofcourse not if you blown to pices
 
A whole squad of medics! Any tank that comes near by gets ambushed with many grenades. And the squad will only die if they're blown up!

Have any of you watched the vid of the guy playing bf2 called "arena51_battlefield2" ??

It's hilarious. Listen to the sounds they make when flying the airplanes. "Oh hoo ho hooo. Ah ah" Plus, many constipated grunts. My friend and I were watching it and laughing soon after.

LOL. Brainssss... need fresh United States raised brainsss...

If you turn off team balance, I bet you could do a "zombie scenario" where there's one big team of medics using only their defibrillators (zombies). Versus the other (much smaller) team with pistols, shotguns (engi), and a few riflemen.

XD I dont think it would be very fun for the zombies thou.
 
Maybe someone will come up with a script that makes the bots zombies like that like in CS:S.

Yeah I should correct that...

*I hope this game doesn't run well because I really wanna spend $1000 on NV's new SLi setup, get a new dual core AMD 64 cpu for another $800, 2Gb low latency ram for about $350, and a cool new motherboard from DFI for $175! That would just plain own! Now I can enjoy all of the 1 or two games that come out on PC :D

-BF2 is the only thing keeping PC gaming alive this summer

Whats keeping consoles alive? Was the 360 released when I wasnt looking? Well atleast they have a concrete release date now...Do they? Is it all hype? I guess I would fall for hype too if I had to wait 3-4 years between every hardware upgrade. lol Serously the console/PC war needs a rest. :eek:

Anyway back on topic: Is it true that you will get credit for more then just flags and frags? Will you get credit for healing/repairing or is that a rumor? Linkage?

they have a zombie strike server hosted by moongamers.net(might be com)

very sweet server, try it out. it's freakin hilarious.
