Hello all,

In this late hour on preorders for BF3 (PC), I was looking for the best "deal" on buying this game. If any one has any info please post.

Not sure if it still works (I thought I saw someone say it didn't...) but the birthday coupon is 25% off as well.

People that can't spell Battlefield 3, should not play Battlefield 3.

Man, I hope the kiddies don't kill this mature Battlefield 2 successor.

Damn, hater.

Thanks for posting that link, Warrior. I will be checking that out soon.

I had used a birthday coupon on BF3 back in March. Dunno why it wouldn't still work, though there is the EA Gun Club coupon in the other link.

for someone thats been here 5 days, you're talking to someone thats almost been here 9 years. I'm sure to him you're the kiddie....

The BDay coupons expire in 30 days, that's why.

Ha well I realize that, but the post I was replying to seemed to imply that BDay codes weren't eligable for 25% discounts on BF3 pre-orders. I'd assume that it probably wouldn't be too hard to create an account with EA saying your birthday is in a few days and getting the coupon even though it isn't your birthday, though the Gun Club discount seems a lot easier.

Thank you all for jumping in for a member that slacked on this preorder. As for the comment on my typo I have other things in my life than what this member believes I will do to his gaming enjoyment. If someone happen to receive a code and hasn't used it would you mind PMing it to me. In turn if someone does PM one to me an dI happen to receive mine in time I will share the love from my end. Again thank you all for your time.

Ooooo, cool! I wonder if I can use the bday code on SWTOR :) Thanks! Suck that I'll have to make a new account, but dammit, I wanna save 25%!

You can use the BDay coupon to buy something on any other Origin accounts

I hearing from EA chat that the B-Day coupons dont work for BF3 pre-order digital download, but work for the game copy.

Just chiming in to say that I did use the birthday coupon to preorder the digital version and everything went smoothly. Was even able to get in on the free Dead Space 2 promotion too. :D

i already pre-ordrered it but my card still says processing can i cancel it and use the coupon?

never received my email for bday club coupon :(

also used the gun club coupon back in the day for bc2 apparently. :(

Riiiight.. I've been here, in actuality, longer than you (9 years).

Plus your logic is pretty skewed here anyways... me being on a forum name for 5 days, AUTOMAGICALLY makes me a young kid? Epic fail at logic is obvious

Regardless of your lame comment, you didn't even read my 2nd post.

Epic fail at logic + epic fail at reading comprehension

i already pre-ordrered it but my card still says processing can i cancel it and use the coupon?

yeah, that's what most places do with preorders... they "hold" the money but don't actually take it until they ship the game. Amazon did this with my gift card there, as well for SwtoR. Took my $59.99 but I can easily cancel and get the flow back.

Cancel your order, then resubmit it later.... you should be saving some bucks with no problems from origin :D

I read the "hehe im a jokester" comment before i posted, thanks for assuming i didn't.... doesn't mean i can't make a comment about the trolling you did in the beginning that had nothing to do with the thread.

trolling?
or honest thought on 'the kids' migrating from the current flavor of wargame to BF3? I think any good BF2'r will back my comment up as NOT TROLLING. I mean, who here is a kid under 18 anyways? Few to none on this site i've noticed, so there isn't even any kid to TROLL even if I was trolling..... just look in the PC Gaming section, I'm sure you will see many similar statements as my "kids blahblah'' from the 1st post

Sorry though, next time I will put the little :D or :p so you can somehow easily understand it was a joke

and thanks to the guy above for posting the coupon code, :)

LOL.

P.S. Thanks for the laughs, at the people who are calling this a "troll" :p. Joking does not mean someone's a troll.

I hate getting into things like this, but you are clearly missing why you're being called out Dman. BF3 has nothing to do with any of this and shouldn't even come up in your posts defending yourself. You're being called out for making a completely off topic personal attack against the OP for making a simple typo which you called him a kid for. You did mention it was a joke 3 posts later, but even after that the OP didn't seem to amused by your comment. And now you are trying to defend yourself in a fairly passive aggressive manner instead of being mature and just saying "I'm sorry for my comment let's put it in the past and get back onto a discussion of BF3 pre-order deals."

VVV Haha I can't believe that L4D and Orange Box are on Origin. But it's also pretty crazy that they changed the rules on the coupons to not work for pre-orders. Oh well EA is just reminding us why we should still hate them. Force us to use their Origin service and then suddenly change their coupons to restrict pre-orders. Seems like every other game company normally offers their game at 10-15% off for pre orders, but yet EA, who is trying to outsell MW3, refuses to honor discounts which could greatly help boost sales of their most anticipated game of the year.

Soo, to get this thread back on track. I just got a new gun club code, and it states, very specifically:

*Value of discount will be deducted from product list price at time of purchase. Valid for in-stock titles of Mercenaries 2: World in Flames™, Crysis Warhead™, The Saboteur™, Battlefield: Bad Company™ 2, Crysis®, Medal of Honor Airborne™, Battlefield 2™: Complete Collection, Battlefield 2142™ Deluxe, Medal of Honor™, LEFT 4 DEAD: GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION, Battlefield: Bad Company™ 2 Ultimate Edition, The Orange Box, ARMY OF TWO™, Battlefield: Bad Company™, Dead Space™, Army of Two™: The 40th Day, Mass Effect™ 2, Medal of Honor Heroes™ 2 only. Discount is valid only on purchases from Origin at store.origin.com. This offer expires on 7/31/2011 and cannot be combined with any other offer, Gift Card, rebate or other discount coupons.

I am still waiting to see if I get my birthday coupon, which I set my date for that as tomorrow. I am waiting to see if an EA rep can help make the gun club code work, but I am not holding my breath, as the rep I spoke to last night, who gave me a 20% off code for my other code not working, told me that none of the codes would work on pre-orders.

Has anyone had any verified success with the new gun club code, birthday code, or EA support rep 20% off code?

I don't know about the EA support rep code, but I'm almost positive the gun club code won't work. The birthday code, however, should have no problems with BF3 physical or digital preorder, as that is what I used.

So far 2 of 3 codes didnt work, the gun club and the 20% off one the chat rep gave. Im still waiting on a birthday code too.

The customer service 20% code will work with the physical copies only. Which when I look at what we get extra isn't much. Now if money isn't a problem then Amazon or Best Buy is the better way to go.

You don't need to preorder to play the open beta. You might as well just wait to see if anything comes up. If you are buying digital, doing it on the last day before release pretty much accomplishes the same thing.

FYI, Early beta has just started today(Sep, 27th)

[e]VVV cool beans glad to hear that the bday code worked.
