Hey guys, I'm starting up a work-from-home position and had a quick question. My home office is about 50 feet from my router, which is fine now because I use wi-fi. However, the mac (I know) they are providing me will have its wi-fi abilities disabled because they want me to use ethernet.
I, however, do not want to mess around with running cable through my attic so I am thinking of getting a short crossover cable and sharing my PC's wifi internet connection with my Mac.
Do you think that will work or is that something they can easily detect?
I'm looking for any solution that requires less work than me actually running cable through my attic, though it's looking like I might have to do that.
Thanks for the help!
