Something is messed up with one of my hard drives...it shows the hard drive in my computer but when i click on it the computer freezes up and i cant get into it...and it is now shown as Local Disk instead of Backup (which I had labled it) Now the hard drive was working fine just about and hour ago because i was on it looking for something. Anyway I go to go back into that hd to find something else and it is like that now.

I tried doing a system restore point to yesterday and it tell me this

"Changes made to drive(s) E: after this point cannot be reveresd because the drive was either excluded from system restore monitoring or was turned off or removed"

I havent done anything to turn off or remove the hdd....anyone know whats wrong?

btw this is a backup 120gig hdd that i had tons of crap that i dont want to lose.

I can right click on and it and go to properties and where it says Used Space and Free Space, everything says 0 bytes

Does it make any strange noises? Also, try changing the cable and perhaps putting it on a different IDE channel. It may be dead, but that's not definite.
