That would be an average of 9 overclocks that may or may not use elaborate cooling systems. Though helpful, this doesn't accurately reflect what can be achieved with stock cooling.mentok1982 said:Using my 3DMark05 score database, the average X1900 XTX oc is 722/850.
I understand your point. In fact, I doubt that anyone has a large enough, representative sample of x1900xtx overclocks to provide E[x1900xtx overclock]phide said:That would be an average of 9 overclocks that may or may not use elaborate cooling systems. On stock cooling, my own XTX hits the max offered by Overdrive. I've never bothered pushing harder nor tried to determine maximum stable clocks.

9. 650/775
To put it bluntly, you could fry an egg on a naked R580. Of course, you'd need a fairly small egg. To put it more specifically, 90C is the point at which the drivers start increasing fan speed. For the most part, however, the GPU is pegged at ~90C - fan speeds don't go up much.Murtrude said:im no expert but don't ati's run hot enough w/o overclocking?
