We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
This system is going to be serving video (mostly powerpoint; potential for video clips down the line) to the main sanctuary projector and simultaneously recording a combined audio stream (single output from sound board) for storage and post-service editing.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$1100 max, inclusive of tax and shipping

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Knoxville, TN

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc.
CPU, MB, RAM, SSD (OS/software), HDD (media storage), PSU

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
Case: CM ATCS
Video card: EVGA GTX 560 Ti

6) Will you be overclocking?
No

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
22" 1920x1080 for the desk, 800x600 projector (possible projector upgrade coming next year)

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Plan on buying within the next 48 hours, build complete by the weekend.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard?
Lots of SATA ports, RAID 1 support for the storage drives, fairly long shelf life (shooting for 4-ish years of upgradability if possible)

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Yes, Windows 8 Pro x64

What software and hardware will you be using to record the audio?

I was planning on using Audacity for the recording and editing. I'm really not sure if I'd need a dedicated sound card, or which one I'd need; would onboard audio suffice (line in), or should I look into another solution?

I think you would need a solid sound card for this. However, I'm not 100% sure what the best audio-recording setup for your particular usage and budget would be. I recommend hitting up the Computer Audio subforum for advice on recording software and hardware.

For now, I'm going to set aside $150 for the audio recording aspect. So that leaves $950 for the PC. Which is more than enough considering streaming video isn't all that intensive and recording audio is not as heavy duty as it may be.
