Auzen vs Creative sound cards

There's a pretty clear consensus on this: pound for pound, Auzentech makes better cards than Creative. Creative has a tendency to use offensively cheap and shitty components, whereas Auzentech tends to stick with higher-quality components from proven manufacturers.
 
You won't gain any FPS in your games but the sound difference will be distinct.
 
creative drivers are awful but the other companies drivers are even worse

Depends what you compare to. Sound quality difference between most sound cards will be very minor and usually inaudible. Most of todays components, even low-end, are fine. There ARE some poorly designed products on the market, generally the REALLY cheap stuff, but most of it is fine.

I'm not pointing a finger at anyone specific here, but just for future reference, beware of ANY advice giver saying stuff like "night and day difference" for anything other than speakers or room treatments (or an amplifier ONLY if they buy an amplifier that lets them play their stuff louder than they could before)
