audigy cables

can i use a rounded cable for my audigy 2zs? just wondering because there is not a lot of room in my case.

No you can't, it isn't a regular IDE cable, it is a special one.

This place has a cable rounding and sleeving service for the Audigy ZS Platinum, it is 15.00 plus you pay for shipping.

Performance PC's

The only other option is to run the cable behind the motherboard. I was going to do the rounding service also, but just decided to do that instead. It is plenty long enough to reach from the 2nd from the top 5.25 bay to the PCI slots and best of all you can't see it for the most part anymore.

The design is different.

You can have smoked Audigy for breakfast if you want to use a regular IDE cable

X86 has the link answering that question.

Since I don't have the actual cable you're referring to, I can't check them cable compatibility myself.
Nonetheless, if you have the cable at hand and a cheap DVM or ohm-meter, you can verify that the pin to pin assignment on your cable is the same as that of the ide cable you're interested in.
If they're the same, then the ide cable will work fine.

No sir.... that site has the pinout for the Audigy not the Audigy2 ZS.
BTW..... use a floppy cable.
