does anyone know how to get DTS decoding to work on the audigy 2 plat?

i installed the latest creative drivers and enabled spdif decode but still nothing on the dts movies.

Not all versions of the Audigy 2 have DTS-ES support. If the Plat does, Creative would seem to have forgotten to include it in the manual.

You might try installing an AC3 decoder...I'm not sure if it applies, but it's a software solution if it works.

Do you have your speakers directly connected to your PC or does it pass through an external decoder (receiver, etc)?

yea i looked up my model number and it says it supports DTS on creatives site..

i am hooked up via speakers..

i am attempting playback via Vista Media Center..

what is odd is that in the Audio Console under SPDIF there are only 3 options..

Dynamic Range (3 options)

Dolby Prolgic (2 options)

Dolby-EX (2 options)

there is no DTS option..

but then i goto the SPIF Decode and there is 3 options

Default/ Internal Decode Dolby-DTS/Passthrough.

in both tabs i have decode selected but still nothing..

maybe i'll have to to try AC3Filter.. software or hardware i don't are as long as it decodes it..

So, your speakers are directly connected to the PC huh?
That means it's correct that you chose internal decoding on the soundcard.

Make sure you also select SPDIF on your playback software, it's usually under the speaker configuration menu.

I hope this helps.

I'm not sure if Optical cannot handle DTS I thought it could when I had that card I remember listening to some stuff in DTS. Try updating your drivers.
