Im looking at moving my server to an ITX board as it is also used as my HTPC, so sits besides my TV. Im after getting an atom itx board with as many sata ports as possible (i need 6 or 7), i have been looking at:

then going to add a four port sata card in. Has anyone got any ideas for this? or has anyone used any other boards for something like this?

Thanks
Tim

sorry this link works.

Also the board would need to be able to play 1080p mkv files.
Thanks
Are you sure that you can't keep the HTPC and file server separate? Many of the HTPC gurus don't recommend combining the HTPC and file server together:

If you must have a mITX setup, then ditch the Intel Atom setups. Not enough performance for smooth 1080P playback. So I recommend the following:
£44 - AMD Athlon II X2 250 CPU
£106 - Asus M4A88T-I Deluxe AMD 880G mITX Motherboard
----
Total: £150

Case and PSU wise, I recommend the following:
£118 - Lian Li PC-Q7 mITX Case
£46 - Silverstone ST50F-ES 500W PSU
----
Total: £164

Or this case + PSU combo:
£150 - Fractal Design Array R2 Mini-ITX NAS Case, Black, with 300W SFX PSU

Well my server currently runs on a matx board, so i could get a matx case that has enough room for 6 or 7 HDDs. Then not change anything.
Current specs of server are:
e5200 not overclocked
ASUS P5E-VM HDMI
8gb drr2 800
6 x HDD's
on board HDMI graphics
Lian Li PC-201b case which is far far to big to my needs now!
1000w Coolermaster PSU

I would really like to combine these as it is sat next to TV and is taking up far too much room! I would like something with really low power consumption so that i can leave it running 24/7 yet still has enough power to play mkv 1080p files.
I do really like the Fractal Design R2 case, as this would be great for what i want.

He's probably better off getting that Array R2 case since he wants to have a lot of HDs.

Hmm I can't think of another mATX case that can support 6-7 drives. Closest I can think of is the Antec P180 Mini. But it's still roughly the size of some ATX cases out there.
