Which would you get, the ATI or SAPPHIRE XT850XT PE, if it was exactly the same price. Is it better to go with the actual manufacturer.THANKS!

A quote from CleanSlate from another thread:

"ATi buys their "BBA" cards from Sapphire."

I would say so. I have a 9800PRO that was yanked from a Dell, it has Sapphire numbers on it, BBA numbers on it, ATI claims it's manufactured by Dell (as if they actually make their own cards), Sapphire admitted to making it and selling it to ATI to sell to Dell as an OEM product.

I'd say Sapphire is the easy way to go, they're usually easier to deal with anyways.

Thanks for the reply! Im going to order one next week. If anyone else has an opinion, I would appreciate the help. THANKS!

Well, both are good companies. I have heard ATI is better for RMA's than Sapphire myself. Some people just like BBA. I do too.

You Yanks may not even be aware of this, but us Euro-trash have to settle for brands like Hercules, Sapphire etc... because BBA cards don't even ship to Europe anymore (probably because they could never keep up with demand).
So I wouldn't worry about buying non-BBA... most of your European brothers have non-BBA cards :)

Limey's and their Hercules cards. :D

Sapphire has a reputation of having really nice bundles wth there cards (various games and such) and since they are to ATI as EVGA is to Nvidia (makes the reference boards, follows refrence designs etc...) I would think that they are the best chose. (I have no Idea wat ATIs bundles are like)
