So many cards, so many revisions, so many flippin numbers. What exactly is the correct scale for ATI and NV performance these days?

In terms of performance is this right? I know there are different monikers for some cards as well (XT, PRO, SE) making it even more confusing to naive consumers.

ATI:

*any corrections appreciated.

The Radeon 9100 and 8500le are the same part. They just renumbered the 8500 in an attempt to make the numbers make more sense, since the 8500le is faster than the Radeon 9000.
I haven't paid any attention to low end boards in a while, so I don't know how the 8500 & 9100 compare to the 9200. They'll smoke a 9200se, but other than that... *shrug*

There's also quite a lot of vagueness and overlap with the GF4 Ti cards and the 5600 and 5200 boards. I'm not even going to try to explain what's faster there. You should also add the 5950 to the top of the NV pile.

Maybe you could just collect 3DMark scores or something? Ok, it's not exactly a precise method, but at least it gives people a better basis for comparison.
