Monitor - ASUS MK241H http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236033

Video Card - HD 4870

Drivers - Catalyst 9.10

HDMI cable - some cheap $3 cable off amazon

ATI DVI to HDMI adapter supplied with the card

So i just configured my monitor for the first time on HDMI input.

For some reason, the text on webpages seems a little more sharp and aliased. on DVI it seemed more smoother.

Don't know what's wrong or it's supposed to be that way.

the link you have is broken.

Use the DVI input? They are electrically the same (HDMI/DVI), and thus, you see the adaptor. The DVI output, however, also may have several analoug backup pins, to allow older VGA connections to work.

I haven't had any text clarity issues, so far, on a HP 24" monitor, via HDMI. (converted from DVI).

It's probably the cheap cable.
