So you're saying it's okay for a company to keep a card for almost two months and not to communicate with its customer at all because "hey it only happens to a few people!"I don't care how good a company is, your always going to get a situation like this with a percentage of people.
You know, I had a similar experience with eVga and my 7900 GT CO. Sent it in for warranty repair, it got lost in the warehouse, and I had several weeks of back and forth emails and phone messages to try to find out what happened. Finally they just sent me a new 7950 GT KO. The difference is they stayed in communication and made up for the delays in the end. I still wasn't too happy about the whole process, but at least they didn't bend me over. I still keep eVga in mind for my upgrade purchases.
Visiontek's warranty document really gives them an out if they don't want replace a product and it looks like they really abused the situation in my case. They could just post their real, internal policy which probably goes something like: "No cards are to be replaced unless they arrive DOA." I probably would have gotten better service if I had intentionally killed the card, but I'm too ethical for that.
