I have a 9800 pro and when you connect the wire in the back it has both a video out and a video in... how do I see what is coming in the video in... what software do I use... I tried searching for answers and only got stuff about the version of the card with the tv tuner... my card doesn't have a tv tuner... I just want to plug in any source (say a cable box) into the S-Video input and then see what's coming in it on my screen. What do I do?

I don't have any experience with vivo cards, but I would think it wouldn't really matter what you are pluggin into it, as long as you are using s-video.
Didn't software come on a cd with the card?
Who is your card's manufacturer? Sapphire, powercolor, etc? I would suggest checking with that particular company. They might have video capture software on their websites.

Ok, so I followed that page but it didn't help... I installed the ATI Multimedia center and ran the TV player as discribed here:

How can I tell? There is an adapter for the back that plugs into what looks like a S-Video port but isn't. This adapter Has four wires: RCA Video-in, RCA Video-out, S-Video-in and S-Video-out. When I install the Multimedia Center from ATI it doesn't give me the TV player, I think because I don't have a Tuner. But the TV player also has the option to read from the composite or S-Video input (see previous link). So right now I'm trying to find video software that will read from an S-Video/RCA input (like the TV player in the ATI Media Center does). But I've had no luck...
