i have a 8500 the prob is that while it clones the display to my tv it wont show the video playin on the computer ne1 know how to fix this

Is the ATI multimedia center the only DVD playback software that you have installed? If so, that sounds like a DRM problem.

no i was usein media player and i tryed the media player clasic

try opening up media player classic, pressing O, go to the output tab, and setting "Directshow Video" to "VMR7 (windowed)". then open up the video/dvd again and it might work.

If not, then get VLC from http://www.videolan.org and go into the options and disable overlay. that should sort it out.

did you update your catalyst drivers? try the newest one, 5.5

there is an option somewhere that should allow you to play video on the second display. You could also just set the tv as your primary display but that could cause problems.

yeh i have the newest drivers and i remeber have to se it up some way to see the video but just cloneing the monitor doesnt work

ok i got the video workin on a horzontal display now the prob seems the the tv side is like 4 inches off on the top can it be fixed to make it even or am i gona have to prop the monitor up on something

Sounds like ya don't have divx or whatever plug-in. Too bad your science isn't tight like fresh meat!
