Asus Stack Cool 2 requires shorter MB standoffs???

I usually lurk the forums since I Google the sh1t out of all my questions but I can't find any information on these. I want to know so I can order the parts I may need ASAP.

1.) Does the Asus Rampage Formula motherboard require shorter MB standoffs because Stack Cool 2 adds another copper layer to the PCB?

My reasoning is that if the motherboard is just a little higher then it should be, the video card etc. will be tweaked down too much into the motherboard when I screw down the card's bracket. I already have an issue with my old motherboard that is kinda similar but it does not have Stack Cool 2. (The video card is pushed down too hard in the back and the front rises up.) Or are the places where the standoffs seat on the MB recessed slightly? Does the MB come with different standoffs?

2.) This may be a dumb question. Am I supposed to take the paper backing off the Thermalright Socket 775 RM?

The Thermalright website says not to and another website says to remove it. I would just leave on the paper and think nothing of it but I don't know if this is some thermal transfer material under there. Some people don't like it because it is hard to remove the sticky sh1t once installed. Please look at the links so you know what I am talking about. Pictures...

I never had a problem with standard case standoffs not working with stack2cool boards. I've used the Maximus and P5W DH in Lian Li cases and both of them worked fine with standard standoffs.

I took the backing off, but got the sticky residue. I've heard of people that don't and leave the paper on. They have no issues, but I haven't tried it personally.

No, regular standoffs are still the ones to use.

You're technically supposed to, but you don't really need to. In fact, many people prefer to leave the backing on since the sticky pad is very hard to separate from the motherboard once installed, and leaving the backing makes it much easier to remove the cooler and transfer it to a different board. I would personally leave it on just in case it becomes necessary to remove it in the future.

Thanks guys! Hopefully everything goes smoothly once I get my parts tomorrow.
