Asus P5E CPU Cooler

I just recently built a new comp based on the Asus P5E. Along with the MB I ordered a Zalman 9500A CPU Cooler, long story short it would not fit onto the MB thanks to the massive heatsinks which surround the CPU area. The heatsink itself was not the problem but the black plastic mounting bracket that screws on top on the MB which the heatsink attaches to. The bracket hits the heatsinks no matter which way I turn it, vertically or horizontally. I guess my question is which CPU cooler will 100% without a doubt fit my Asus P5E. No guesses please only hands on CPU Cooler mounting experience..... :confused:
 
I know someone out there has a Asus P5E with a After Market Cooler. POST IT.
 
Thats a really popular board so if you search a bit youll find your answer. Might be why nobody is answering you.
 
I'm not sure about the layout differences between the P5E and the P5E Deluxe, but I'm using a P5E Deluxe with a Xigmatek HDT-S1283 mounted vertically. It fits, but quite snugly, however.
 
I used a TRUE 120 with my maximus formula. maximus is almost identical layout to P5E.
