Asus Dual Socket 2011 board

i think the lite blue is the only thing they could of maybe changed to darker perhaps or even black..

I think the main advantage the Asus board will have over the EVGA baord, is that it has standard form.

I just may have to get one of these to play with.

Some quick 1P numbers @ 3.09ghz:

Cinebench R11.5: 12.22 (for reference R11.5's 2P W5590 @ 3.33ghz was 11.69)
Truecrypt AES Mean = 6.2GB/s @ 1GB
7-Zip Total Rating was about 36.5K

I know... I need to install Linux and F@H... server rackmount has neither power nor network connectivity yet at the new house (bad location from an existing infrastructure point of view)

Ahh, i was wondering where you had been these last few months.

Looks like we are going to get good performance out of a 2p

2P E5 should be interesting. Just remember, non-spicy versions of that level of performance will be running $1.8k. So you are looking at a 32-48 core G34 system or a 1P E5-2687W system.

One other thought is that going 1P I would actually lean i7-3830K because I would rather have 6C/12T @ 4.5GHz versus 8C/16T @ 3.2GHz max with the i7 being half the price.
