It's pretty easy for Asus or any other mobo maker to make great claims about their motherboard, it's another to actually stand behind them. I think everyone who has ever dealt with Asus knows they couldn't care less about you. That's why the only time I'll ever buy an Asus board, like the one I currently own, is if I've read a lot of reviews on it and they've already tested it to the limits I wish to push it to. Thank god Newegg will replace most stuff for 1 year.
God forbid you ever have to actually RMA something to Asus... you might see it back in 2 months, and it'll probably still be broken, or one someone was kicking around on the workbench in the back.
My next motherboard is going to be a 650i EVGA simply for the fact that I know they'll help me out if I have problems, like they've done in the past when I had a problem with my video card.
To the OP: vdroop or not, if the damn board doesn't work as advertised, and you want to use that advertised feature, I believe you have a reasonable complaint. I mean that is an awefully expensive motherboard. It ought to offer something special right? Why else would anyone buy it? To run at stock settings? That's ridiculous.
Reminds me of all these boards out there that support 4 DIMMS but only at reduced timings, if you can get it to work at all. I think most people are far too lenient on motherboard makers simply because we've come to expect abject lies and BS from them.
