Deluxe= SLI on 8x lanes, hard SLI selector,Fan cooled northbridge
Premium= same board except heat pipe for NB, software for the SLI selection
A8N-32 just reviewed on [H]ard. good reading. 16x lanes for the SLI,heatpipes and software to switch from single to SLI....a bit more tricky to place a soundcard or other PCI card on this board.
IMHO, the Deluxe is a great board with plenty of room. It is the granddaddy SLI board these days but is a nice stable board with tons of experience behind it. I have two of them and they are excellent choices.I have never had any issues with the boards at all. They are feature packed.
well i had the a8nsli deluxe in which i am selling on fs/ft for 90 shipped, the only problem is the fan, i just got a replacement for it, and its all nice, but i cant do 300fsb with it. other then that its been the most stable board that I have ever own. Now i have the a8n32sli and its very nice, and i can get my 9x300fsb at 1.375 volts!!
"I have to say this motherboard (A8N-SLI Deluxe) works extremely well, but there are some issues that should be brought into the open. Just to let everyone know to check the FSB speed availability before putting anything over 1000 Mhz Bus in it. I have an X2 with a 2000Mhz FSB and it doesn't use the processor's full potential."
...does this mean I should not buy the A8N-SLI Deluxe if I'm going to use an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ / 1MB Cache / 2000MHz FSB processor?
2). 1000MHz Hyper Transport (2000 MT/s) is the way the HTT is usually represented. There is NO 2000mhz FSB. Most s939 boards will run 1000mhz HTT. He is not missing anything running at 1000mhz HTT because that is the stock speed.
3). The HTT doesn't affect performance to any great degree. Maybe a few FPS max.
