Well, first hello to all the people here that usually help out with this stuff.
I got help with my last build from here, and it lasted quite well overall. So thanks to that again.

But anyway - its time for something new, so:

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming, Office, Browsing, Video encoding (not a lot)
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
1200 before tax
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.

Germany
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Power supply - Need a bit of help with that

Mainboard - Really dont know which one to pick

Ram - 16 or 32 GB of Corsair Vengeance Black DDR3 2133 MHz (PC3 17000). I want to play around ith ramdisks/ram caching a bit.

SSD - Samsung Evo/Pro 256 GB, any advice?

Cpu - Intel 4770K

Cpu-Fan - Noctua NH-D14

Case - Something simple and silent no plastics - just in need of a recommendation, preferably from personal exprience.

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.

HDD - WD Raptor

Graphics Card - Radeon Sapphire 5800. This one will only be in there until the Volcanic Islands Series is released.

Disk drive - Well standart. I dont really use it anyway.

Sound - 5.1 Logitech sound system

6) Will you be overclocking?

I wanted to actually try. If its 99,9% safe/stable and does not rack up the electrical bill.

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
1920x1200 24' NEC MultiSync
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
About next week
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
With SSD's there is probably no reason for RAID. Dont have firewire components, dont use more than one graphics card. No backup GPU needed.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
I have 2 unused keys for Win 7 and Win 8 professional 64bit

Thanks for your time, any advice is appreciated :)
If there are preselected components, that have better or equal (but cheaper) alternatives, feel free to point that out.

What German online computer hardware stores will you be buying from?

Though to start: You don't need the 4770K since you're not doing a lot of video encoding. So the regular Core i5 4670K will be enough for your needs. Also, don't bother with high speed RAM as it honestly won't help you that much. So any DDR3 1333 or DDR3 1600 RAM set rated at 1.5V will be fine for your needs.

Also, I recommend the following cases to look at while we come up a build for you:
$100 - Corsair Carbide Series 400R ATX Case
$110 - Antec 1100 ATX Case
$90 - Lian Li PC-7HX Black Aluminum ATX Case
$105 - Corsair Carbide Series 500R ATX Case
$100 - Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Gunmetal Black ATX Case
$100 - Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Arctic White ATX Case
$140 - Corsair Obsidian Series 550D ATX Case
$144 - Silverstone RV03B-W ATX case
$144 - Silverstone RV03B-WA ATX case
$150 - Corsair Graphite Series 600TM ATX Case
$170 - Corsair Special Edition White Graphite Series 600T ATX Case
$168 - Silverstone TJ04B-EW ATX Case
$167 - Corsair Obsidian Series 650D ATX Case
$230 - Silverstone FT02B-USB3.0 ATX Case
$250 - Silverstone FT02S-W-USB3.0 ATX Case
$245 - Corsair Obsidian Series 800D CC800DW ATX Case

Will be bought from Amazon mostly. Though if there are shops that are cheaper than Amazon by a significant amount, specific parts will be ordered there.

Also thanks for the selection of cases , definitely some nice ones in there.

About the RAM - yes I kinda heard, that those high speed ones are not much of a difference (But it's alwyays the question of how much is "not much").
Will stick to 1600 then.

CPU was an i7 mostly becausee it felt strange going from i5-750 to another i5 ;)

And probably should have mentioned it before, but once I get a system, I'm using it for around 3-4 Years with pretty much not a single update in this time.

Totally missed the "silent" criteria for your case. I recommend these cases instead if low noise is a far higher priority than cooling:
$85 - Fractal Design Define R4 with Window Titanium Grey ATX Case
$90 - Fractal Design Define R4 with Window Black Pearl ATX Case
$95 - Fractal Design Define R4 Arctic White ATX Case
$100 - Fractal Design Define R4 with Window Arctic White ATX Case
$110 - Antec P280 ATX Case
$144 - Silverstone RV03B-W ATX case
$144 - Silverstone RV03B-WA ATX case
$230 - Silverstone FT02B-USB3.0 ATX Case
$250 - Silverstone FT02S-W-USB3.0 ATX Case

As for the rest of the parts, I recommend the following:
EUR 128 - Asus Z87-A Intel Z87 Motherboard
EUR 125 - Crucial BLS2CP8G3D1609DS1S00 Ballistix Sport 2 x 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM
EUR 85 - Seasonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W Modular PSU

As for the SSD, I'd go with the Samsung Pro 256GB if you can afford it due to it having a bit more space and a tad more performance.

Is your Core i5 750 overclocked though?

No my i5 runs at stock - 2.66.
Thats why I said I wanted to try overclocking .. its a first for me.

And yes , silence over cooling - as long as nothing is overheating of course :p

For the SSD I'll choose the pro then - its not that much of a difference and has 2 more years of warranty, Always a good thing to have.

What motherboard do you have?

The reason why I'm asking is that you can probably hold off on a CPU upgrade for another six months if you overclock your Core i5 750.

It's a GA-P55A-UD4 Bios F5.

If I'd overclock, would you say its worthwhile to wait for new ram (DDR4? - Currently have 4 Gb/1333Mhz) and new generation SSD's ?

Not really no. AFAIK, Haswell-E is the only Intel CPU due out that'll support DDR4 that's due out soon. After that. it won't be be until 2015 to 2016 that we will see Intel's mainstream CPUs supporting DDR4. AMD won't have have mainstream DDR4 support till 2015 as well.

On second thought, yeah just do the CPU, mobo, and RAM upgrade anyway.
