Are there internal PCI wireless NICs for small-form factor desktops (low profile)?? I'm looking for 2 wireless NICs that I can insert into a Dell Inspiron 537s (the slim model).

Anyone know of low-profile NICs? Or, should I just go the USB route???

Thanks!

In my experience, PCI wifi cards tend to have a better signal strength than USB wifi adapters. On the other hand, USB wifi adapters can be placed and oriented better for better signal strength.

If you have a mini-pci wireless card lying around, you could always pick up a low profile mini-pci to pci adapter off of ebay, they even have multiple antennas.

This is an interesting idea. The REALLY good Intel 5300 a/b/g/n mini-PCIe adapters can be had on Ebay for $20. I picked up one for my AAO and its been great.
