I have this AMD Athlon 1.4 ghz 133 fsb processor. My mb manual says its a socket A board. Is it the same as the 462 boards, (like the Nforce2 boards)?

Can I run a 1.4 Athlon on an nforce2 or other 462 board?

Socket A is Socket 462. They are the one and the same. NVM, I thought I was in the Intel forum, I was like holy crap this guy is going to get flamed. Lol.

Because Socket A/462 lasted for quite a while, you can't use all chips in all boards. I think with an NF2 board you should be fine with that CPU. Pretty much the only kind of board worth having in Socket A is an NF2 at this point.

Thanks guys
I have an old Abit KT7a board whos agp slot is all dorked up and wont see my 9800 card.

I have been acting kind of flaky, so I am now thinking of replacing it with something cheap. Its on a secondary system, so a killer set up is not needed.
